Dinner @ Clarences Bar & Beaufort St Merchant, Mount Lawley

This is the first time for me and my friends dine in the Clarences Bar at Mount Lawley.
You know what? We love it there! Nice bar, nice food, nice atmosphere and nice service. We went there for our monthly meet up and catch up some gossips from each other hehe.

At Clarences bar, we kinda got a bit too excited with the menu and ordered heaps of food for ourselves. We couldn't resist because everything sounds so yum!
Before I tell you about the food, I think you should try this warm cider that they got there. Yes, it's warm, it tasted like apple + cinnamon juice. hahaha good for wintery days. Quite unique.

Anyway, time to show you some dishes that we had there!

Bread, beurre lescure

Crispy cuttlefish with lemon aioli

Hand cut ships with ketchup and aioli

Seared local prawns with radicchio and chorizo

Free range chicken wth soft polenta and green olives

Crispy pork belly with sauerkraut and caramelized apple

Grilled skirt steak with horseraddish cream

We were enjoying ourselves there eating those yummy food!
My favourite: Crispy Pork Belly and Seared Prawns. You gotto try it.
Nice: Steak, cuttlefish and chips
Maybe not: Bread and chicken

We like it there! It's casual, nice food, good atmophere.. maybe the seating were a bit too tight for me :P

Oh yea.. how can we end our night without the dessert?? We decided to walk along beaufort st and look for restaurants that serves dessert.
We end up in the Beaufort St Merchant.

This place is so cool! Open kitchen, beautiful cakes, nice interior, and they even sell gourmet food and a huge selections of wine!

Attracted by the dessert menu and went straight in.
Seated on a nice huge comfortable chair next to the window. What we need now is a fire place and people feeding us dessert. hehehehe

There were 4 sweet dessert options on the menu and we got it all.

Dumpling
pecan & golden syrup dumplings with double cream

Chocolate Tart
Baked rich chocolate ganache tart with honeycomb cream

Pear Tart
Freeform pear & hazelnut tart with vanilla bean ice cream

Creme Brulee

We shared everything and gosh.. that was yummy! I love the Chocolate Tart! So smooth, creamy and melts in your mouth.. but others was nice too!

We really enjoyed our night dining in Clarences Bar and Beaufort St Merchant. Definitely going back there!
