Lunch @ Chi, Victoria Park

People been telling me Chi Restaurant serves good chinese food and how can I not know that?
I always thought Chi Restaurant serves food like Hans Cafe. A bit of a mix of Thai, Vietnamese, Chinese and others. But after been there last weekend with my workmates, I was pleasantly surprised to know that they actually serves pure chinese food!

They got Preserved Vegetables with Pork Belly (Mui Choy Kao Yuk) and I saw they got Fried Intestines too! Not many restaurants do Fried Intestines so I was a bit impressed by the menu.
Don't worry, there won't be any photo of the intestine if you are disgusted by it. I didn't have them that day because my workmates won't eat them. They will take the food (except intestines) and sit at the other tables, looking at me like I'm crazy.

Anyway, we had some yummy food that day.
Chilli Pepper Squid

Snow Peas with beef in XO sauce

Kung Po Chicken

Preserved Vegetable and Pork belly.

Everything taste really good. No complains about it. Love the Squid, and the snow peas in XO sauce. Kung Po Chicken was good but don't think it's authentic because they cooked it with chilli bean paste. Preserved vegetables and Pork belly was yum but I want to have more Preserved vegetables!! Don't be stingy chef! :P

Overall we really enjoyed our meal there. Very pleasant. Chi can't be quite busy after 12.30pm, so go slightly earlier to get a nice spot! :)

I will go back to Chi Restaurant and try the Fried Intestines. hehehehe..
