Little Elephant Cake

I love elephant! They are cute, HUGE and definitely in quite a few cartoons!
I remember when I was in Primary School, I participated a story telling competition. My story was Dumbo, the flying elephant! It was a cute little story :)

Look! Isn't he cute? :D
Anyway, my story telling on stage ended up funny because I was too nervous! I cannot remember until the  last 5 minutes of the story so I just mumbling any English words that my mouth can think off all the away through and said THANK YOU!
 idiot.

Anyway, I should be showing you the cake :P
Here it is!

The Elephant cake!
The girl who ordered the cake wanted to surprise the birthday girl with this theme because she wishes to ride an elephant in the safari one day!
To add in extra cuteness for her birthday, I added a balloon too!

Process making the elephant.. Head looking at the ass.... :P

I have a monkey, tiger and giraffe to accompany the elephant :)

I hope she had a rawrring time! :D

Construction Site Cake for Charity

I've made an epic cake (well, for me anyway) for my cousin's fundraising at work 2 weeks ago!
It was the most fun and stressful cake I've ever done haha

A cake that looks like the construction site that she works at. Crazy assss!

Everything made by hand! Craziest idea ever hahahah The trucks and stuff were so small my eyes went all crazy.
Thanks to my cousin that give me this crazy project hahahaha
She saw me making it and she was feeling more stress than I do! Funny girl.

This is how the whole cake looks like. If I'm not mistaken, the cake was 12in x 16in. My cousin drew the logo out herself and it looks perfect!
It was a heavy cake! Pity my cousin, she had to carry it herself to workplace where she organised her charity tea thingy.

Anyway, here are some photos of every little thing :P

Little people that I made to put on the cake!

Cement trucks and trucks that carry the sands (I don't know the name of it lol)

Cute little offices at the construction site.

A lazy ass worker hiding under the tree. jokes.

 More trucks :P

and these are the Piling Rig, Excavator and Concrete Truck (I'm not sure about others haha)

The cake receives a lot of good response! My cousin's boss even took the trucks and cranes home for his children to play with. So cute! :D

One Year Old Baby's Cake

Last week I did a cake for one of my reader/ foodblogger. I have done quite a few cakes for my friends and family but this is my first request from someone that I don't know. hehe Thanks Sandy for being my first customer! :P Check out her food blog here!

I love making pretty cakes because I get to share what I like to do with people and I get to make what they like! :D

Anyway, Sandy emailed me and asked if I can make a cake for her niece's 1 year old birthday! I was thrilled and I said yes! She sent me a picture of her niece's favourite toys, which is a white Forever Friends Teddy and a yellow rubber ducky! OMG so cute and FLUFFY!!!

It was great fun thinking of ideas on how to decorate the cake and although it is a very very long process but I am totally loving it!

This is the outcome of the cake!
2 tiered pink cake!

I love Forever Friends Bear.. They just look sooooo cute with that sleepy eyes.. haha

I made some blocks for her name too.

Good thing is they can to keep the teddy and ducky instead of noming or throwing them away! They can be stored in a cool dry place for at least .....well.. however long it last! :D
Something for remembrance at least :)

I hope they enjoyed the cake!

A Penguin Cake for Joe's Mum!

Straight after coming back from my Malaysia Trip, I have been non stop making cakes! I work on cakes almost every night and that is why I haven't been blogging.
I enjoy the process of it! It almost feel like I'm meditating!
No one disturbs me, nice chilly weather and have Christmas music on..
(Yes Christmas songs! :P  I listened to Christmas songs everytime I'm making cake decorations.. makes me happy and relax for some reason! haha)

Anyway, one of the cake that I made last week was for Joe's mum! She lovesssss penguins so I thought I will make her a penguin theme cake!

and There she is! I made a penguin her haha standing on top of the igloo!

This is how the cake looks like. :)

I have Frances, Joe and me at the bottom! One is fishing, another one is bbq-ing the fish and the one in the middle just standing at the entrance wishing happy birthday!

Making this cake is so much fun! I had to hide in the room making all these so Joe's mum don't see it!

Other than the cake, Joe cooked some delicious food too for the night!
Roast chicken, haloumi and vegetable fritters, mushroom soup with drizzle of truffle oil~ and some grilled asparagus.

It was nice to surprise her and have a nice homecooked meal at home.
Happy Birthday Aunty! Stay fit and strong!

Mount Kota Kinabalu Climb

Hello!! Long time no see! Yes, I have been away.. quite far and high actually!
Some of you may already know where I have been if you follow my facebook page or Instagram (@myweyoflife)...

For some of you that don't know, I actually went to Mount Kota Kinabalu to torture myself! 0_0

Honestly, climbing that mountain was hard.. tiring.. fun.. crazy.. and painnnnnnnnnnnn......

Climbing a four thousand meter high mountain is no joke.

Mount KK

First day arrival was pretty easy peasy.. enjoying walking around, have some nice buffet dinner, chit chatting with friends...

Dinner Place where we stay for the first night

Then Day 2... here comes the pain..
9am Climb: 6-8 hours climb to Laban Rata where you rest, eat and sleep.
Depending on your stamina and speed.

Ready for the climb

Our very strong Porter that carries 60kg of our bags! 1kg=RM10

I think about 3 hours climb later.. I have told my friends that I wanna pay the porter to carry me up every 30 minutes. My friends ignored me.. of course..
I have took 8 hours to reach Laban Rata. Can you imagine actually took 1 hour to climb 1km? Seems easy when you hear 1km.. but think again.. it's going UPWARDS.. +_+

My Pass

Lunch for the climb
Probably somewhere around 6-7km

When I'm finally at Laban Rata, my body immediately go towards somewhere to sit and refuse to get up! I was really tired!! Luckily Joe was there..he took some food for me. He reached Laban Rata 2 hours before me.

Laban Rata Rest House

I think about 7pm, we pack some essentials for the next day climb and slept at 9pm. (We couldn't sleep at all actually because of the noise people make at the place that we staying.)

Woke up at 1am, have breakfast and climb for 3-4hours to the peak. It was the most amazing, most dangerous & most tiring shit I've ever done in my life! The rocks were slippery, the path was dangerous, the steps are high and it was dark!

Prepare for the peak!

But I'm glad I made it. Thanks to our porter, he basically encouraged us (me and my other 2 friends) to go up and actually hold our hands and walk with us, so that we have to go up!

Eating Choc Bar at the peak. Too hungry.

Felt really good actually to know that I can actually climb that high! Having said that.. a minute later feeling really awesome.. I'm worried about how am I going back down!!!

Going down is another nightmare. 3 hours if your toes and knees not hurt. 5 hours if you toes and knees are F up. My mama toe nail has gone black and it's a whole big toe nail I'm talking about! It was the most painful experience. I had to use every other part of my body muscle while going down just to avoid my toe being knocked to my shoe! Worst part? It was raining heavily... gosh.. I was soaking wet.  So now I will have a full black toe nail following me for at least 6 months.. how pretty.

It was absolutely a beautiful experience despite the after effect - 4 days muscle ache.

Thanks guys! This will be one of my life story to tell when I'm old :)

For those who are thinking of going.. PLEASE GO! You will regret when you are climbing but you will feel very proud of yourself after the climb. SO DO IT! At least once in your life! :D

What to bring for the climb:
-A winter jacket that is waterproof and windproof
(or a fleece jacket and a waterproof windproof jacket)
