Dinner @ Satay Mu, Kardinya

Found Satay Mu advertised on the Chinese Newspaper and I got excited and told myself I must try this place NOW!



I went there with a couple of friends and we were shocked to see it was full house! Lucky enough we got the 1 and only table left in the restaurant.



We were so hungry and got a bit over excited with the menu (because it was cheap and the fact that it is Malaysian), we got 5 of us but we ordered so much can feed 8 people!

Entree:
The Satay
Love the Satay sauce, authentic. Satay sticks.. not charcoal bbq.. but still taste good. The best one was they got ketupat! Omg! Finally a decent ketupat in Perth! yessssss!



Wan Tan Noodle Soup
So-so for this. The Wantons taste like Sui Gao..



Fried Loh Bak Gou ( Radish cake )



For individual mains:
Alan got Ginger Duck Rice. I tried the gravy, quite good!



Joe got the Spicy Chicken Rice.



Frankie had Fried Mee Hoon.



Gwen and I had the same dish, Char Kuey Teow.
I am a Char Kuey Teow fan when I was young. Very picky and only by the look of it, I can tell whether it taste nice or not. First look of this... yeap.. not the one that I used to eat. This one was oily, wet, and omg so big portion!!! In terms of taste, yes it's nice but not the authentic CKT. Portion was so big I struggled. Joe ended up finish the CKT. :P



Dessert:
This is what we got. 3 Tao Foo Fah, 2 Bubur Cha Cha, 2 Black Sesame Soup and 1 Taiwan Grass Jelly.



Shocking right! hahahaha We had to take away and eat at home because we were feeling so full in the restaurant. Our eyes is bigger than the stomach.. ordered everything we can and share :P

Pretty good I must say. Pretty impressed with the standard though.. It wouldn't be as good as the ones in Malaysia of course but to have a Restaurant that sells so many kinds of Malaysian food in one place is really rare in Perth! Most importantly everything tasted good too! Very happy hehe

Saw some bad reviews on Urbanspoon and it stated there Melville Satay Mu. Was wondering if it was the same as this Satay Mu in Kardinya. The shop looks new and I'm pretty certain the service is good and very friendly. Wondering if they change management.
