I finally got my long waited favourite burberry shoulder bag.
Thanks to Frances. She took all the effort to go all the way to the Burberry shop and get it for my coming birthday. Arigatou!!! Lurve it!
All I need now is 4 hot guys standing and posing beside me.
Looking hot! psssst.

As old as me
This morning Joe showed me this old phone he found in store room.
A nice antique (or maybe retro?) phone. This phone was from Singapore telecom when his father was working in the company.
I was excited and when I turn it around, I saw this.
March 1982.
This phone is same age as me! Exact year, exact month!
I immediately asked Joe if I can have this phone to keep. He said yes, and cleaned it nicely for me. I'm so happy~
People always says I'm a rubbish collector. I collect anything! From something absolutely rubbish like empty plastic bottles to something really old like antiques..something that nobody wants.. haha
It really makes me wonder if that can consider as a hobby.
Come to think of it, I will be older in a few days. People asked me what I want for my birthday. How am I gonna celebrate. I wonder to myself... I don't know... Well, I obviously can have more Burberry and more gadgets..i don't really mind haha
But I was thinking to myself, Is there something I would really like or need now? There's nothing really...Maybe, one sure-win lottery ticket? That will be my biggest n awesomess present. Hahaha
Ooo! I love presents! Hahaha

Greenhouse, Perth City
I went to a very unique place last weekend. It's call Greenhouse which is located in St Georges Terrace in Perth city right next to Enex100.
Greenhouse just open probably just a few months ago and it's already quite packed.
Interior is very creative. They uses alot of recyclable things to decorate the whole place.
Just like the pic that I took below.
Construction site wires as light bulb cover, reuse the bottles, and the recycle the hand wash water to flush the toilet! (sink on top of the toilet tank. heard from Frances that this is very popular in Japan) and there's a lot more to observe. Interesting.
They do breakfast, lunch and dinner. Serve Tapas. Chefs looking quite cute too! haha kidding
Every table is decorated with flowers with a reused bottle.
Anyway, 3 of us ordered quite a bit of food to share.
We had the Chilli cashews.
Not my favourite, in fact, it was abit bitter.
The Duck rillette & sourdough
Something different. Should try.
Greenhouse bits and pieces (serves 2)
Beer battered mussels with tahini sauce
Quite like this one too. Not very oily and taste like beer.. mmm...
Cumin buttered Corn
This is my favourite. I tried to make this for BBQ the next day. It was yum! But Greenhouse's ones are better hehe
As for dessert, Frances and Joe had the Valronha chocolate mousse, cinnamon biscuit, toasted marshmallow
This is super yum! Indulging~~~
As for myself, I had the watermelon jelly, berries, lemon granita, labne
I was expecting a chewy and harden jelly until i dig into it.
It was runny, watery, a bit gluey like. It's kinda weird.
Not sure if this is the correct way for them to make it, although is weird but if it's without the watery jelly, I quite like the refreshing taste of the it with the berries and stuff.
Overall, Greenhouse is a nice place to chillout, have a drink and some nibbles. I probably will go back there again to try the "24hr slow braised lamb shoulder, tabouli, yoghurt (serves 2)" it sounds delicious!
Service was okay. The waiter and waitresses kinda disorganize. Maybe it's newly open.
Atmosphere, SUPERB.
A good place to go.

CNY Lou Yee Sang
Finally there's chinese new year feel for me today cuz I had Yee Sang
Yee Sang is a Teochew-style raw fish salad. It usually consists of strips of raw fish (most commonly salmon), mixed with shredded vegetables and a variety of sauces and condiments, among other ingredients. Yusheng literally means "raw fish" but since "fish (鱼)" is commonly conflated with its homophone "abundance (余)", Yúshēng (鱼生) is interpreted as a homophone for Yúshēng (余升) meaning an increase in abundance. Therefore, yusheng is considered a symbol of abundance, prosperity and vigor.
Thanks to Frances for dragging us 2 that were tired-and-no-energy-who-is-trying-to-cook out for dinner. Or else I don't think I will get the chance to remind myself it's still CNY and I get to eat Yee sang!
I actually felt CNY is over. First in my lifetime and it's only past one day of CNY! Something is really wrong with me -_-" I miss celebrating CNY with my family.
Lucky enough, this Yee Sang tasted quite good. (of course, can't compare the ones in Malaysia) It's very hard to get good tasting Yee Sang because it is difficult and time consuming to make.
I felt satisfying now after having CNY food or maybe I should say Chinese food.

Valentine's Day Chocolate
As you know Today is Valentines Day and I have made something for Joe :)
I have always wanted to make chocolate and I always thought it's really hard to get the chocolate right. So, I thought I will give it a try this time and I'm going to make a heart shape chocolate for my beloved.
Valentine's Day is celebrated in an interesting manner on two different dates in the country of Japan. On February 14, female present gifts to their boyfriends or any man close to them. The favor is returned to ladies on the White Day celebrated on March 14 when men pamper women who gave them gifts a month before on Valentines Day.
This is how I get my gift idea from. Since I never give chocolate before on Valentines day, I thought I can follow the Japanese culture making one and give it to him :)
The recipe that I've got online is pretty easy!
Go there and have a look! I huv took some pics on the making, eheheh
melt the dark chocs, add 2 drops peppermint essence
spread it out on the flat baking tray with baking paper then leave in fridge for 5 minutes
melt the white chocolate
put in colouring and mix it up.
pour it on top of the harden choc, spread it out, leave it in the fridge for 5 minutes then melt the dark choc, 2 drops of peppermint essence, spread it out on top of the white choc.
Cool in the fridge for another 10 minutes.
Take it out, cut it into shapes!
My first attempt of heart shape peppermint chocolate!
I did flowers and choc nuts too!
The reason why I make those is to used up all the remaining pieces of the chocolate bits after you cut out the shapes. You can melt the choc all together again and make the milk choc cutout flowers. Then melt the rest of them to make chocolate buttons and top with crushed n sugared peanuts!
Tadaaaaaa!!! My Valentines Chocs for Joe! In a nice box!!
I put the heart shape choc into individual cone sleeve, so that it wont stick onto each other.
Happy Valentines Day to everyone. Wish you have a wonderful Chinese New Year too!

Those limes are actually from Joe's backyard. The lime tree went crazy abit hahaha growing non stop. FREE FLOW of LIME!
mmm... my kat jai suin mui (lime dried salted plum+honey) tasted so nice~~~
Best in the world! WAHAHAHAHA

Yuki Jap restaurant & dumpling king Chinese restaurant
I'm gonna blog about 2 restaurants that I've been to since I came back from malaysia.
Yuki japanese restaurant.
That's frances waiting for me to go in. We were hungryy.. hehe
Lets jump straight to the point. Interior was nice but I was quite disappointed with the food there.
We ordered quite a lot, so we can to taste all kinds. Chicken udon is quite a failure. The udon was over cooked. Sushi was a failure too, the rice doesn't stick together. Others was just alright. I don't recommend to go there cuz it's quite pricey too. Compare to Momiji and Yuki, Momiji definitely wins. Price was cheap and food is good.
Dumpling king Chinese restaurant
Went there to meet up Rach and Josh for lunch. Exterior doesn't look very nice I know. But then interior was quite bright and "chinesey"!
This place is quite special, they sell korean-Chinese food. Food was quite authentic according to my korean frens. (They only had korean-chinese food there)
Heard from my fren that the chef. Is Korean n the wife is Singaporean something like that.
I had the fish head noodle cuz I miss the one in Jalan Alor, Malaysia... So yum..
This one that I had tasted alright but was wondering where's the milky soup base? The fried fish was yum. Couldn't finish the noodle though.. Too huge n I miss the chilli...
Joe had Mee Pok, which is the Singaporean style dry flat egg noodle.
To be honest, the malaysia & singaporean food tasted quite nice but it's just not the authentic flavor. After 5 weeks of eating asian food, I think my expectation for asian food is quite high now.
I don't even feel like having expensive food because of the conversion rate and I had so much good food in such a cheap price. It's weird. Everything here just look so expensive. I don't know when I will be indulging expensive good food again, but I think it will take quite a while for me to adjust.
I need some cheap yummy authentic hawker fooooood.
