To my Godfather,
You have been my Godfather ever since I was born
I am a very naughty child who never listen
and never care about anything or anybody
I'm now 27 and I am learning to be a better person
Starting to joke around and say something stupid to make people laugh
On the first day of Chinese New Year in 2008
I was joking around with you while we were talking
That was the first joke that I have ever said to you in 27 years
You pinched me on my face and had a big smile on your face
Today, I got a call from my family
They told me you have passed away
I was speechless
I was shock
I was glad that you passed away peacefully
I wish I can go back and pay respect to you
I hope you are well somewhere high above in the lovely sky
You were my one and only Godfather and always will be.

A quick dinner
I had the simplest, yummiest and quickest dinner just now.
Grilled mushrooms with onions, sliced tomato & cucumber, steak with creamy mushroom sauce.
Only need 15minutes and your food will be ready, served on the plate.
The recipe is very easy too!
While pan frying the steaks, you can cook the mushrooms with sliced onions and the sauce at the same time.
For the sauce, melt the butter on a pan, put in chopped onions and garlic, fry it up, then put in sliced mushrooms. I had the Portabello Mushrooms. Cooked til the mushroom turn dark, thats when all the flavour will be out. Pour in some beef stock, brandy and cooking thicken cream.
Easy!
Try it!! :)

A Nice Couple-y Day
It was a long time since we last have a date for a day due to work and other stuff that keep us occupied and of course the cold winter weather that put us off.
Today is our off day and we had a nice time going for a lil adventure. With my original plan to go to Joondalup shopping, we end up stopping by some unrelevant places that we weren't expect to go to. But since it's a "adventure" day, we decide to go with the flow.
First, we start our day with a lovely pancake that made by Joe. Then rest for a bit, get changed and off we go. We drove passed a Clearance Shop at Belmont, we turned in and parked. I had always been curious what they sell in the clearance shop that situated around some business area and factories. We went in and we bought a dozen of glasses. It was good quality and cheap!
Why glasses? I know we got lots of glasses at home but as you know we love dessert and we don't have a proper pretty dessert cups, so that's why we bought it. I can make more Tiramisu in a cup now :P But actually, we got something else planned.
Anyway, it was 12.30pm and it's time for lunch. We were not sure where to go for lunch, so we end up using the Urbanspoon application in my iphone to decide for us. It's a very cool application, you can choose which city, what's your budget and what kind of food you want, then shake the phone to get a restaurant that they pick for you. Well, after shaking it a few times, we got FAB burger place in Hillarys Boat Harbour.
You can draw on the paper with markers! I love Scribbling~
Yeap, we went there and ordered a Supreme burger, a Breakfast burger, 1 bowl of chips, 1 cider and 1 beer. The menu was quite impressive. They used good quality ingredient and presentation was good too. Unfortunately, it was not worth it with what we had paid for. We were hoping for a burger that is full of flavours and yum. Somehow.. the burger tasted quite blend..
Don't get me wrong, everything was good, the bread was awesome, beef was awesome, mushrooms were good too.. but somehow when everything put together, it doesn't give me the umph feeling!
After lunch, we went to Pot Black to have a few games of pool. I'm not in the luck today. Kept losing. bloody shit. We played some arcade games as well.
After that we went straight to Joondalup shopping centre at 4pm. Finally. :P
We had a quick walk and a quick groceries shop because the shops closes at 5.30pm.
We head home, unpacked the groceries and Joe started to make a Strawberry dessert in 1 hour.
Easy and quick.
Then at around 7pm, we met up with Alice and had Korean food with her at Sinabro.
It was quite cheap. Only about $27 pp, free soft drinks and fruits. But the selections, not really fantastic. But we still manage to stuff our tummy until FULL and HARD.
We can't sit, walk or talk even after that.
After dinner, drop off Alice and head back home. Took a shower, rest for a bit, then we brought out the Strawberry dessert out from the fridge. It's a creamy & jelly like kind of dessert.
It tasted so nice!!! It was refreshing, not too sweet and not rich too! Easy to make too!! I love it!
Bo Young had the whole cup of it. Oh btw, those are the glasses that we bought for our dessert. Simple and classy.
What a lovely, tired and FULL day. <3
I don't think I ever feel hungry today. -_-

Dinner @ Shi Ge, South Perth (2)
Bo Young's treat yesterday because she got her pay from her work.
We went to Shi Ge again because Bo Young hasn't try it before.
We had a small sushi mix and Butter Scallop to share.
Joe had the Nabe Udon for himself.
Bo Young and I shared Shabu Shabu.
We were not really satisfied with what we have ordered because it was tasteless. We were not sure if Shabu Shabu meant to be tasteless (it taste like boiled water with onions) or the chef forget to put in flavouring. But we tried our best to finish it anyway cuz I was in a hurry.
When Bo Young was paying for the meal, I decided to ask the waitress (low tone) if Shabu Shabu meant to be tasteless. She told me she never try it before so she went to ask her chef. After the chef heard from her, he stomp out, looked at me and said "SHABU SHABU IS TASTELESS! YOU DON'T KNOW HOW TO EAT! IF YOU WANT TASTE, U SHOULD TAKE SUKI YAKI! THAT'S WHY I GIVE YOU SAUCE!"
WTMFFG! I was just curious!!! I never had Shabu shabu before!!! Thats why I asked!! I was like.. !@#$#%
OK.. Chill..
I WILL NEVER FUGGIN EAT SHABU SHABU AGAIN!

Brooke's Birthday @ Broken hill, Vic Park
I went to Brooke & her 2 friends', Kelly and Dee, 30th birthday celebration in Broken Hill pub just now. Lot's of people, lots of happy faces and lotsa drinks around..
They have 5 tiers of mini cupcakes for everyone as well~
I love cupcakes~ so cute and easy, as in don't have to cut the cake and no plates! Fast and easy :P
Well, other than celebrating Brooke's birthday, she got another good news for us..
She's engaged!!! XD
Thats like double happiness! Brooke and her fiance DJ were together for more than *I forgot how many years 8?9?10?*
Anyway, it's a LOOOOONNNNGGG time. I always asked her when are they getting married, and she always said I don't know~~~~ well of course, because he hasn't pop up the question yet.
So one fine day (which is 2 days ago), they went shopping together and they passed by a jewelry shop. Brooke sort of hint hint to him saying "If you ever getting me something in future, this one *pointing at the ring* will be good" ^-^ and happily walk off~
Yesterday night, on her birthday, at home, he surprisingly took out the box and he finally popped up the question! They are ENGAGED. I'm so happy for them~~~ as excited as them~~ haha XD
How nice~~ engaged day + birthday~ Brooke must be drooling in her sleep yesterday night and tonight and many other nights! hehe
We signed our wishes on the teddy bear itself. Cool idea.
Sorry Christine, you look very nice in the photo, I have to put it up :P
Brooke and Erin
I took some photos but most of them were blurry. Probably I should say all of them, cuz I didn't use flash (Sorry, I hate flash) but I still manage to find some good ones to put up.
Like this one. Look at the drunken faces. HAHAHA
Judy, Brooke, Christine, Boyoung, Justin and me!
Have a good one Brooke!!! Don't be too drunk!!!

Muhammad Abdul Mateen Khrys Abdullah Yeoh
My friend Khrys is famous in 2 days.
He was on radio, TV, newspaper and even met all the royalties in Brunei.
He came back exhausted and told us everything about the whole conversion thing.
It was unbelievable! I still can't believe it!
Anyway, he looks happy and he knows what he wants.
I wish him all the best because he is going to be a busy man real soon :)

Lunch @ Yip Kee, Maylands
It's my off day again~ Yoohooo!
I decided to go to a restaurant that I have never been before~
Yip Kee at Maylands.
I have heard some good reviews about them before but it was out of my way, so I didn't get to try it until now. I was a bit excited to see how good they were.
Joe and I had Fried Yam Duck to share
Joe had Sui Gao Noodle
and I had the Wonton Noodle.
Well, can't say it was fantastic. It was just normal and it doesn't taste anything close to the ones in my own country. I won't say it's not good until I try their specialties. Which is the Bak kut teh, Fish head rice noodles, penang fried min sin and chai tau keuh that is only available on Sat and Sun. These 4 dishes is hard to find anywhere in Perth. So, I GOT TO TRY. Maybe this Saturday? hehe will see.
Yip Kee Noodle Restaurant
205 Guildford Rd, Maylands
9371 8818
Open Tues - Sun
Then I went to city's Woolworth and came across this drink.
POM wonderful
Heard that Pomegranate is good for health, so I thought I can buy and try it.
I bought the Pom Mango, a small bottle like this cost about $2.45.
It was a lil bit too sweet I think. But since it is good for health, I had to finish it no matter what!
Anyway, have a look at thier website, looks really healthy hahaha

Yallingup Trip
Last Friday, Joe and I went to Yallingup with a group of Alan & Cecile's friends. Alan did a lot of planning and organizing to make this trip enjoyable. Really appreciate it Alan.
Click here to see the details of the house.
The house was really awesome. It's HUGE and comfortable.
4 bedrooms, huge kitchen, nice front yard with BBQ area and a nice swimming pool with spa.
The weather was nice too. Not too cold and not too hot.
It was a good experience for me as this is the 1st time I went for a trip with a whole group of strangers. As you know I'm a very super duper quiet girl. right? right?
I made new friends, I try to understand different kind of people, I learnt how to communicate, I learnt about Yallingup and Margaret River, learnt about myself and I learnt to love my camera more.
Making new friends is a difficult thing to do for me. Don't ask me why, but I find it difficult to have a conversation to a person who I just met. I guess I'm afraid of saying the wrong things or I'm not knowledgable enough to strike a conversation. But I did learnt a lot from other people, how they can talk about everything that they know. It made me feel that I need to study or read more books! I felt that I couldn't catch up on what they are talking about. I realised my knowledge is very shallow compared to them. Time for catching up.
Understand people. It was amazing to see just a group of people, all from the same place, act differently, think differently, share differently and talk differently. I guess that's how you learn from each other?
To open up my mind to people who I don't know is a huge challenge for me. I'm a very slow person in the sense of making friends. I do think that I'm a timid girl, but inside me is really noisy and unexpected weird. I remembered that a few times, some of my friends categorize me as a weirdass girl because of my sudden action. It's not in a bad way, it's just they were shock seeing me like this. I guess as time goes by, they will get used to my weird actions.
I never really fancy greeneries, mountains, sea or plants when I was young. I am more a city girl. After I have been here in Perth for 5 years, I started to love greens, relaxing sceneries and maybe a slow walk by the sea. I feel calm and peaceful in me. Sometimes I think to myself, is it good to be so peaceful and calm? When I have nothing to do, I tend to think about problems, think about things that maybe will happened in the future, because I got plenty of free time. Sometimes I want my busy life back, so that I don't have the time to think.
In this trip, there were a few people carry camera around to take nice photos.
SLR, normal digital camera and semi SLRs.
I started to realise something about taking good photos.
Sometimes its not only about what camera you used and understanding on the SLR buttons like aperture or shutter speed, it's also about the artistic view from yourself.
How you see this in different angle is fairly important.
A lot of people thinks that getting a SLR means you will have good photos. But think about it carefully... is it a good resolution photo or really a GOOD photo.
As a learner myself, I am slowly understanding the art of taking the photographs, slowly loving my camera(forget bout EP1 hehe).
People always say picture says a thousand words.
But who is actually saying it? The one who is in the photo or the one behind the camera?
Just a 3 days trip, I gain 1 kg and ended up with a big round tummy.
Just a 3 days trip, it made me fell in love with my camera once again.
Just a 3 days trip, I think I have changed my views on a lot of things in my life.
It's time to grow 1 extra white hair for thinking too much :)

Relaxing but tiring
It was a long day for me today. Slept at 3am yesterday night, woke up at 830am, had toasted bread n freshly squeezed orange juice for breakfast, chill out by the pool side, play trampoline, took a short morning walk around the area, had a swim, rest for a bit, went to chocolate factory, had choc ice cream & mud cream for lunch, went to at least 4-5 wineries, got home at around 5pm, prepare food for BBQ. Had dinner, cleaning up, shower and play some games. Now... My body is exhausted... Time for a sleep... And will be leaving this mansion tomorrow evening.. Back to working life...what I miss the most?? My bed. :)
